Tottenville plumber enjoyed traveling and time with his family
William F. Karpeles, 72, passed away on Aug. 6, 2019, at home inTottenville. He was born in Staten Island and lived in Tottenville for the past 33 years. He graduated from Port Richmond High School.
William was a journeyman plumber for 45 years for Local 371 which became Local 1. He enjoyed traveling to many countries, spending time at his shore house, being with his family and grandkids and he loved his pets, Zoey & Capone. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Karpeles (nee DiMeo), his children, William F. Karpeles III ( Nicole), Stephanie Longo (Serafino), his siblings, Bruce Karpeles and Beverly Stevenson and his grandchildren, Antonino, Dominick, Giovanni, William, Sebastian, and Georgia.
Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial is at Our Lady Help of Christians at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Friends may visit Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
