William & Joan Fox

Joan A. Fox passed away on January 19, 2024 at the age of 88. Barely five months later her husband of 65 years, William A. Fox joined her in heaven on July 1, 2024. William (Bill) was also 88 years old.

 Joan was a proud second generation native of Staten Island, born in Tottenville on October 22, 1935. Bill was born in the Bronx on January 31,1936 and moved to Princes Bay, Staten Island as a child. Joan and Bill met while both attended Tottenville High School, married, and made their home in Tottenville. After retirement (Joan was a Dental Assistant and Bill was an Operating Engineer for the City of New York), they moved to Pennsylvania and then to The Villages, Florida. Bill and Joan traveled throughout the United States, chartered boats and sailed the eastern Caribbean, vacationed in an Irish castle and toured throughout Europe. Bill’s retirement passion was to play golf and Joan loved to dance; she was the life of every party they attended. 

The couple are survived by their children, Nancy (August) and William (Karen) and their grandchildren, Shannon, Kaeleigh (Daniel), Bridget, and Katheryn. 

Joan and Bill filled the lives of many with their love, friendship and generosity. We remember two lives very well lived and take comfort in knowing they are together forevermore.
