William Farrow, 65, of Rossville, a retired hospitality worker who had a passion for music, died Wednesday at home.
Mr. Farrow was born and raised in Queens and graduated from Thomas Edison High School in his native community. He attended Queensborough Community College.
In 2007, he moved to Rossville to care for his mother, Adelaide Lutestanski.
He worked for 10 years in the hospitality industry and most recently worked at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. He also worked as a musician, and retired in 2006.
Music was Mr. Farrow's passion. He was given his first guitar at the age of six and since that time has never stopped playing or composing.
He was also interested in film and had a small acting role in an independent production, said his family.
In addition to his mother, Adelaide, he is survived by his sister, Janet Meyers.
