William V. Beaghen, 72, of Tottenville, a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who worked as a film technician, died Tuesday in Staten Island University Hospital, Prince's Bay.
Born in Brooklyn, he moved to New Dorp in 1969 and settled in Tottenville in 2009. Mr. Beaghen served in the U.S. Army in the late 1950s.
He had a 25-year career working as a film technician for In Flight Motion Pictures.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed visiting Atlantic City and the Jersey Shore.
He was an avid Jets, Mets, Knicks and Rangers fan.
Above all, Mr. Beaghen cherished spending time with his family, and especially loved attending his grandson's baseball and football games.
His son, Victor Nogueira, died in 2012.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Barbara; three daughters, Marie Farrell, Donna Pizzigoni and Kelly Todd; a sister, Agnes Albenda; 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, with a mass at 11:15 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, both in Tottenville. Arrangements include cremation.
