Beloved mother and grandmother, Wendy Ahlin-Ennis, 65, of Tottenville, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday March 2nd.
Wendy was born in Great Kills on December 21st 1955. She moved into Tottenville when she was just 5 years old. She graduated from Tottenville HS, class of 73. Wendy was a hard working woman who would do anything for her family. Throughout the years, she worked at many different places, including a law firm in Manhattan, Convenient Mart, Christmas Tree Shop, and most recently as a caregiver with Chinese American.
Wendy was a loving soul who would light up any room she walked into. She was always laughing and smiling. She loved football, especially watching the Washington Redskins. Wendy also volunteered at Tottenville HS doing the 50/50, always wearing the Tottenville pirate gear in her own unique style. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, and spending time with friends and family.
Wendy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Daniel Ennis, and her beloved mother, Ruth Ahlin. She is survived by her beloved children, Elizabeth Roppolo of Keansburg and Brian Ennis of Tottenville, grandchildren Victoria Ennis, Jayden Roppolo, and Julianna Roppolo of Keansburg, son in law Mario Roppolo of Keansburg, her companion of 3 years Allen Drew of Colonia, sister Janice Odegaard (Arthur) of Florida, brother Scott Stiles (Kathie) of Florida, nieces,Jennifer Urbanowicz and Lori Flesland , and many extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Jude's Children’s Hospital.
