Welland M. Fuller, 92, passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 10, 2024.
Welland was a US Army Veteran and a graduate of Civil Engineering from The City College of New York. He worked for the city as a civil engineer in the Department of Highways for 30 years. After retirement, he worked for Assemblywoman Marge Markey on the Koscuiszkco Bridge Project.
Welland was an avid sailor, sailing around the world. He shared his experience and taught sailing in the TASCA Sailing Club. Welland was a hockey lover, with the Toronto Maple Leafs being his favorite team. He was a 35 year season ticket holder for the NY Rangers. He coached his son, Robert, for ten years in the Greater NYC Ice Hockey League. Welland was a horse race handicapper who loved the Belmont Racetrack and Roosevelt Raceway.
He was predeceased by his wife, Florence Fuller, whom he was married to for 53 years, and his son, Brian. He is survived by his son, Robert; daughters-in-law, Rose and Debra; grandchildren, Christopher, Danielle, Mark, Michelle, and Christina.
