Vivian passed away from cancer on Friday, September 17, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in the Bronx but raised in Staten Island and graduated from Tottenville high school. Vivian worked on Wall Street at JP Morgan and Trust as a typist before meeting the love of her life Andrew Padula. They married in 1957, and he pre-deceased her in 2009. Vivian visited his grave every day since, no matter the weather, and would sit there for hours reading the rosary, reading a book, or just talking to him.
Vivian loves to read novels, watch English TV shows and do crossword puzzles daily. In addition, she enjoyed going to mass and doing the rosary. Vivian was so happy to have gone to her ancestral home in Ireland several years ago.
She is survived by her six children: her stepdaughter Joanne Long and her husband, Joe. Her son Andrew Padula Jr. his wife Ellen, their two children Andrew and Jenna. Her daughter Laurie Soloman, her husband Arthur. Her daughter Karen McDonough and her husband Brian and their two children Alison and Jessica. Her daughter Kathleen Hayes her husband Jonathan, and their three children Emily Jeremy and Mallory. Her son Richard his fiancée Tara Frawley and Richards, three daughters Alexa, Racquel, and Victoria. Her daughter Lynda Eadicicco, her husband Donald, and their two children Donnie and Shannon. Her two great-granddaughters, Nicolette Curtis and Giselle Curtis. Her beloved cat Ninja. She is pre-deceased by two of her grandchildren Richard Andrew Padula and Dominique Bella Eadicicco.
Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church (Rossville) at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
