STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Brooklyn native Thomas A. Siblo, 88, of Great Kills, died Thursday, at the Staten Island University Hospital South, Princes Bay.
Born in Brooklyn, he graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and moved to Great Kills in 1995.
He worked as a yard master for the New York City Transit Authority for 28 years, and later worked as an administrator for JP Morgan for 17 years.
Mr. Siblo was a New York Jets and Mets fan. He enjoyed reading, cooking, crosswords, computers and trips to Atlantic City.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945, and was a parishioner of St. Clare's R.C. Church, Great Kills.
His wife of 60 years, Lillian, died in June.
Surviving are a son, Thomas; two daughters, Barbara Granus and Maryanne Speranza; two sisters, Catherine Finelli and Jean Terminello, and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in St. Clare's Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
