Theresa Dolores Pagliuco, loving sister, aunt, great aunt, great great aunt, and lifelong resident of Tottenville, Staten Island, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Theresa was born on November 15, 1932 (89 years old) and graduated from Our Lady Help of Christians School, Tottenville High School, and secretarial school in Manhattan, New York. Theresa worked as an executive secretary for Dow Chemical and Time Life Warner Company in New York City. Theresa enjoyed playing tennis, skiing, and traveling the US and Europe with her two sisters Anna and Catherine. Theresa was a spiritual woman, devoted to her church and community. She volunteered for many years serving Our Lady Help of Christians Church as President of the Rosary and Altar Society, preparing confirmation candidates and various other church activities. Theresa was a member of AARP and was always ready to help with needed rides for members of this group and members of the church. Theresa gave generously to many philanthropic endeavors and loved and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Theresa was the youngest of the six children of Mary and Aniello Pagliuco. She is predeceased by Anna, Gaetano (Tommy), Catherine, and Joseph, and is survived by Louis. She was the beloved aunt of Tom (Ellen), Nancy (Michael), Carol (Terrance), Mark (Alena), and great nieces and nephews, Joe (Kat), Anthony, Dana (Graham), Ryan, Kyle (Helene), Brianna, Cate, James, Sara, Joseph, and great nephew, Leo.
Services will be handled by the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Rd., NY 10307 on Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 3–7p.m.and funeral mass at Our Lady Help of Christians on Monday, August 1, 2022, at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Fathers and Brothers Maryknoll, PO Box 301 Maryknoll, NY 10545–0301 made in her name or checks made to Staten Island University Hospice Foundation c/o University Hospital, 78 Meisner Ave, SI, NY 10306. Please note Theresa Pagliuco on the memo line.
