STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Former Tottenville resident Theresa H. Brown, 86, the loving matriarch of three generations, died Thursday �at her daughter's home in North Palm Beach, Fla.
Born Theresa Nowicki in Bayonne, she moved with her family to Tottenville as a child and graduated from Tottenville High School. She relocated to Mount Pocono, Pa., in 2000, and eventually settled in Toms River, N.J. She and her husband also spent many winters at their home in Fort Pierce, Fla.
Mrs. Brown worked as a bakery manager at the former Hills Supermarket in New Springville. She later became an agent for the New York State Lottery, and afterward held several positions at various businesses around Tottenville, including a bakery and luncheonette.
She enjoyed knitting, traveling and fishing.
While on the Island, Mrs. Brown was a parishioner of Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, Tottenville.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, William F.; her sons, Donald and William Jr.; her daughters, Ethel Buebendorf and Lorraine Johnsen; a brother, Henry Nowicki; a sister, Valerie Bertan; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Burial will follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Oakwood.

A 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday July 10,2013 at Our Lady Help Of Christian's R.C. Church. Burial will follow at Ocean View Cemetery.
