Steven Walla
October 1, 1990 — December 26, 2019
Steven Michael Walla passed away on December 26, 2019 after a 2 year battle with Leukemia at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on Staten Island, Steven was an Eagle Scout in troop 21 and graduated from Tottenville High School. He went on to become a Diesel Mechanic for the NYC Parks Department on Randall’s Island and on Staten Island for 5 years. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially camping, hiking, off roading and white water rafting. Steven and his fiancée Aneta also enjoyed building Jeeps together. Steven is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Lisa, fiancée Aneta, Brother Anthony, and was predeceased by his Sister Lauren.
Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Monday at 9AM. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 10:00AM. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4PM & 7-9PM
In lieu of flowers donations in Steven’s memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
