Stephen Pepe

Stephen Thomas Pepe, 26 Dearest son and brother Stephen Thomas Pepe, 26, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, in his home. Stephen currently worked for the N.Y.C. Department of Sanitation, with plans of becoming a N.Y.C. firefighter in late 2019, a dream of his since childhood. He achieved an outstanding score on the latest exam and had begun the steps for hiring. He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Evelyn; sisters, Annette and Gina; brother, Robert; fiancee, Christina; sister-in-law, Erika; brothers-in-law, Ryan and John; nephews, Jackson and Hudson, and niece, Emerson. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers, and countless broken hearts. Visitation will be held for Stephen at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Rd., Staten Island, N.Y. 10307 on Monday, Aug. 27, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would like a donation to be made to the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Stephen.
