Stanley M. Mroczkowski, 85
Army veteran, retired chemical engineer, of Huguenot
Stanley M. Mroczkowski, 85, of the Huguenot section of Staten Island, N.Y., pased away on Oct. 20, 2016, after a short illness.
Born in Amsterdam, N.Y., Stanley moved to Huguenot in 1964. He was a chemical engineer and worked for Tenco, where he was the plant manager. He retired in the late 1990's after 35 years of service.
Stanley attended Amsterdam High School and then went to Clarkson College of Technology on a baseball and basketball scholarship, where he received his bachelors of science in chemical engineering.
He served in the Army for two years, enjoyed watching sports and was a CYO basketball coach for Our Lady Star of the Sea.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Leonia; children, Anne Kennett, Jeanne Forsyth, Michael Mroczkowski, Mary Corcillo and Stanley Mroczkowski; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral is from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Monday, Oct. 24 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
