Sharon Sadowski

Sharon J. Sadowski, 82, of Linden, NJ, died on August 7, 2021.  Sharon was born in Wisconsin and raised on Staten Island.  She has lived in Linden since 1967.

Sharon was a biochemist and a philanthropist.  She received her BA from Notre Dame College of Staten Island, her MA in chemistry from Hunter College and her MA in Liberal Studies from Kean College.  Sharon worked at Wallerstein on Staten Island for ten years and then retired from Merck, Rahway after thirty-three years.

Sharon was a member of the Staten Island Camera Club and the Short Hills Ski Club for many years, photographing nature and skiing at home and abroad.  She was an avid lover of the arts, attending operas and concerts and visiting art museums around the world with her dear friend, Emily Urbaniak.  Sharon's special passion was Paris.  She was a thoughtful, generous person, known for her charitable contributions and her many acts of kindness for those less fortunate.

Sharon is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Helen Sadowski. and by her brother, Michael Sadowski.  She is survived by her cousin, Alice Radgowski, and her dear friends, Marge Proctor and the Cirillo and Urbaniak families, whose children and grandchildren called her Aunt Sharon.

Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:00AM. Mass of Christian burial at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church at 10:30AM. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Friends may visit Saturday from 8:30AM-10:00AM.
