Santo Galluzzo, 69, a retired barbershop owner, died Tuesday in New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Manhattan.
He was born and raised in Sciacca, Sicily, and immigrated to Manhattan in 1962. He relocated to New Springville in 1973.
Mr. Galluzzo owned Two Brothers Barber Shop in Brooklyn for more than 48 years. He worked there until the time of his death.
Mr. Galluzzo enjoyed watching soccer on television; his favorite team was Juventus. He also liked watching the New York Rangers, and spending time with his family.
He was a member of Sciacca Social Club in Brooklyn.
Mr. Galluzzo was a parishioner of St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Richmond.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Rachel Trezza; two sons, Domenico and Anthony; two daughters, Dina LiMandri and Jacqueline Galluzzo; two brothers, Joseph and Vincent; two sisters, Josephine Bonjovi and Vita Maniscalco, and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church. Entombment will follow in Clover Leaf Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodbridge, N.J.
