Rosemarie Fillbrunn, 61, of Sunnyside, a lifelong Staten Islander and former hospital employee who was devoted to her big, close-knit family, died Monday in New York Presbyterian Hospital, Manhattan.
Born and raised in Rosebank, she went to high school on the Island. She also lived in Dongan Hills before settling in Sunnyside four years ago.
Ms. Fillbrunn worked in the housekeeping department of the former Doctors' Hospital for 10 years. She stopped working due to disability.
She enjoyed making crafts and baking, and made the best cream puffs ever, her family said.
Ms. Fillbrunn enjoyed spending time with her family and doted on her nieces and nephews.
Her daughter, Theresa Ann, died in infancy.
Surviving are her longtime companion, Jimmy Carrigan; her parents, Marie and George Fillbrunn; her brothers, George, Anthony, John and Michael, and her sisters, Dolores Sommo, Marie Vivona, Gloria Hannula and Patricia Camal.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 7:15 p.m. in the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville. Arrangements include cremation.
