STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Roseann DiBiasi, 67, of Tottenville, an administrative clerk and loving wife, �mother and grandmother, died Saturday in Staten Island University Hospital, in Ocean Breeze.
Born Roseann Aquilino in Brooklyn, she moved with family to Manhattan's Little Italy neighborhood, where she grew up and met her future husband, Vito DiBiasi. After their marriage in 1964, the couple moved to Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. They settled in Tottenville in 1998.
Mrs. DiBiasi worked as administrative clerk for several agencies in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Her last position was doing clerical work for the Regency Agency. She retired in 2003.
She loved taking care of her family and her home, and adored her grandchildren, Nicole and Christopher, whom she loved to spoil, said her daughter, Josette DiBiasi.
Mrs. DiBiasi was skilled at playing Scrabble on her iPad and was known for getting unusually high scores. She loved to garden, and her husband nicknamed her "the MacGyver of the kitchen" because she could make spectacular meals out of whatever was available in the refrigerator and pantry.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, Tottenville.
Surviving, along with Vito, her husband of 47 years, her daughters, Josette and Francine Manos, and her 2 grandchildren, two brothers, Frank and Anthony Aquilino, and a sister, Mary Mancuso.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
