STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Rose Stagno, 92, of Great Kills, died Saturday in Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, Fla.
Born in Sicily Rose Catania, she lived in Brooklyn before settling in Great Kills in 1965. She relocated to Florida in 1975.
Mrs. Stagno was a seamstress and a homemaker. She loved to read the Bible and be surrounded by her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She attended South Baptist Church, Tottenville, where her son, the Rev. Raymond Stagno, serves as pastor.
Her husband of 55 years, David Stagno, died in 1992.
In addition to her son, the Rev. Stagno, surviving are another son, Lawrence; a daughter, Roseann Stagno; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville. Burial will follow in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn
