Rose Hills, 91, of Charleston, a homemaker who enjoyed the theater, died Tuesday at home.
Born Rose Sinatra in Manhattan, she arrived on Staten Island as a young girl. She lived in Dongan Hills before moving to Georgia in the 1940s. She returned to the Island in 1952 and settled in Charleston.
Mrs. Hills was a homemaker and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Stolzenthaler Chapter, Columbiettes.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed going to the theater, crocheting, doing crafts and cooking.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Rossville
Her husband, James Sr., whom she married in 1943, died in 1996.
She is survived by two sons, James Jr. and Robert; a daughter, Carole Hassel; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in Ocean View Cemetery, Oakwood.
