Former Westerleigh resident Rosalie Rodowsky, 87, of Brick, N.J., a retired U.S. Postal Service supervisor, died Dec. 29 at home.
Born and raised Rosalie Fanuzzi in Bulls Head, she moved to Westerleigh in 1956 and settled in Brick in 1984.
A 1931 graduate of Port Richmond High School, she worked as a post officer supervisor, retiring in 1977.
She enjoyed shopping, solving crossword puzzles and trips to Atlantic City. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.
She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary for many years.
Her husband of 58 years, Joseph, died in 2010.
Surviving are a son, John; a daughter, Jean Schron; a brother, Joseph Fanuzzi; a sister, Virginia Timpanaro, and two granddaughters.
There will be a memorial mass Friday at 9:45 a.m. in Holy Family R.C. Church, Westerleigh. Arrangements, including cremation, were handled by the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville.
