Robert John Lytle, Sr died peacefully on December 11th at Staten Island University Hospital South at the age of 77.
Born on October 12, 1943 in Tottenville, NY, son of to the late John and Sophia (Hyrvniak) Lytle. In 1959, at the age of 16, Robert
worked as a bank teller for Chase Manhattan Bank. In high school Robert excelled in Baseball and Basketball and was call the "Machine' on court or diamond.
Robert graduated in 1960 from Tottenville High School, Tottenville, NY. On December 18,1966 he married Geraldine Colgan and they had 4 children. He took early
retirement in 1999 as a Vice President for Chase Manhattan Bank. In 2000 he took an overseas position with Credit Libanais Bank as Deputy General Manager of Operations and Systems. He fully retired in 2009. Robert was an avid sports fan. He loved the Dodgers, the Knicks, and the Giants. He also enjoyed attending the sporting
events that his children and grandchildren participated in.
Robert is predeceased by his parents, John and Sophia Lytle and his son, Robert John Lytle, Jr. of New Milford, CT.
Robert is survived by his wife, Geraldine. His daughter-in-law, Lori-Ann Lytle of New Milford, CT. His daughter, Jennifer (Edward) Vuolo of Alpharetta, GA.
His son, Sean (Gina) of New Canaan, CT. His daughter, Aileen (Jonathan) of Lake Alfred, FL and 10 grandchildren - Nicholas, Alexander, John, Ryan, Connor,
Angelina, Lexie, Isabella, Leyton, and Kyle. His brother, Kenneth Lytle of Tottenville, NY. His sister, Carol (William) Hensch of Tottenville, NY and his niece, Kathryn Hensch
and nephew, William Hensch, Jr.
Funeral arrangements have been made at Bedell-Pizzo on December 15th from 10 - 11 am. Following a mass service at 11 am at Our Lady Help of Christians.
