Bus driver, enjoyed sports and playing cards
Robert Anthony Cox, 79, passed away on June 3, 2018, in Staten Island University Hospital.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., then moved to Staten island for 20 years, graduating from Grady High School. He was a truck driver, enjoyed playing cards, car racing, boxing, and sports.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce; his son, Edward, and many friends and relatives.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Timmy and Wally.
The funeral is at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial is at St. Joseph's R.C. Church at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m., at the funeral home.
