Robert Anthony Cipoletti
Master carpenter, Army veteran, diehard Giants and Yankees fan, loved to cook
Robert Anthony Cipoletti of Great Kills, born in New Brighton on Sept. 10, 1935, to Nora and Anthony Cipoletti, passed away Nov. 4, 2017, at Staten Island University Hospital.
Robert was a graduate of McKee High School and B.J. Palmer College Chiropractic, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a master carpenter for 40 years.
An avid hunter and fisherman and an award-winning photographer, Robert was a diehard fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees.
He loved to cook and took special pride in big family dinners on Christmas Eve.
Robert was married to Carolyn Pendegar Cipoletti for 55 years. He is also survived by three children, daughter Lori and her husband Phil Granito, son Robert Jr. (late wife Barbara Caprario) and Joann Bull, and son Anthony and his wife Lillian Roslokken.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Philip Granito Jr., Frank Granito, Carolyn Cipoletti, Gina Granito, Robert Cipoletti III, Anthony Cipoletti and Nina Cipoletti; and sister, Elaine Rutherford. Robert was the brother-in-law of Carmen Pendegar, Billy and Phyliss Pendegar, Tom and Debra McGary, and Peggy and Ken Rosenberg.
Funeral is from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial is at 9:45 a.m. at St. Clare's R.C Church. Cremation is private. Friends may visit Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
