Robert Byrne, 25, of Prince's Bay, a landscape designer who enjoyed fishing and boating, died Saturday at home.
Born in Rossville, he moved with family to Charleston when he was 15 years old. He moved to Prince's Bay in 2011.
Mr. Byrne graduated from Tottenville High School in 2004.
He had worked as a landscape designer for seven years on Staten Island.
Mr. Byrne enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and boating.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph-St. Thomas R.C. Parish, Pleasant Plains.
Surviving are his mother, Regina Garofalo; his father, James Byrne; his stepfather, Joseph Garofalo; his stepmother, Lisa Byrne; two brohters, James Byrne and Joseph Garofalo; a stepsister, Cassie Perry, and his grandmothers, Judith Lombardo and Angelina Byrne.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Bedell- Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Pleasant Plains. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, also Pleasant Plains.
