Robert W. Benoit, born on April 30th 1944, sadly passed away peacefully on September 8th 2023 with his family by his side.
Robert (Bob) was infamously known in his family as "Papa". He was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Park Slope. He was one of six siblings. In 1968, Bob married his wife Helen and later relocated to Staten Island, NY in 1981. The Army veteran loved long walks in the park, photography, bird watching, animals and nature, but most of all, he loved his family. Bob spent most of his time with his family cooking, making his infamous ice cream cakes, singing, making people laugh, and hosting Sunday dinners. His presence at these precious moments in time was his life's greatest work and he will be dearly missed.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife Helen; his 5 loving children, Robert (Dawn), John (Tara), Renee (John), Jeanine (Daniel), and Michael (MaryJean); his 16 cherished grandchildren Samantha, Brianna, Robert, Katelyn, Michael, Jenna, John, Daniel, Emily, Matthew, Carlene, Amber, Rose, Gabriel, Joseph, and Jake as well as his adoring Great Grandchildren Liam, Logan, Michael and Matteo.
