Richard C. Wagner, 76, of Tottenville, died on June 3, 2016, at Staten Island University Hospital South.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Wagner attended Fort Hamilton High School. He lived in Tottenville for 47 years, and worked for the N.Y. State Shipping Association. He retired in 1997 as head of security for the Waterfront Commission.
An avid golfer, Mr. Wagner was a member of the Fort Hamilton Golf Club. He was a baseball enthusiast, and enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He attended Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church in Tottenville.
Richard was the beloved husband of Olive E. Wagner for 53 years. He was the loving father of Richard, Timothy, Gerard, Patrick, Nancy, Eileen, and Mary; cherished brother of Charles, and the devoted grandfather of 10 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church. Interment is in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
