Patrick James Phillips

Patrick J. “Paddy Buddy” Phillips (born October 20, 1984), a native Staten Islander and staple of the Oakwood Heights community, passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2024 at the young age of 39. Patrick was a carpenter by trade and his years of experience led him to starting his own business, “Artisan Contractors.” 

Among his varied hobbies were reading, teaching himself guitar, growing plants, history, skiing, snowboarding, golfing, drawing, graffiti art, working out, and all the major sports. He was also an immense dog lover and enjoyed taking them on walks in the woods near his childhood home.

 Patrick was a person of many interests and, as a result, many friends. Socially, he was “the straw that stirred the drink” and if you were with him, you always ended up doing something quite unexpected. His charm was undeniable. 

Patrick was a loyal friend and a good son. He is survived by his Parents Joyce Phillips and Thomas Phillips, younger sister Madeline Rohlin (Phillips), brother-in-law Andrew Rohlin, nieces Eloise Rohlin and Quinn Rohlin, as well as a large and loving extended family.
