Patrick Terrance Meehan was the son of the late Catherine Teresa (nee Kay McCool) and John Patrick Meehan Sr. We know that they welcomed their youngest son into Heaven with open arms. Born and raised in Midland Beach, Patrick was raised by his oldest sister and brother in law; Catherine and Robert since he was 10 years of age with the death of their parents. Catherine was his "Ma" as he would say to this day. He remained in Midland Beach for a while until he moved to Great Kills and married the love of his life, Kari Schrammer Meehan in September 1983. Both Patrick and Kari were so excited to welcome their one and only handsome son, Patrick William Meehan in November 1984. What a joy to have their boy! He loved his Kari and Patrick so much. He and Kari are dancing together again as they watch over their son Patrick William! He then moved to Tottenville with his sister; however, he would continue to go back and forth between Tottenville, Midland Beach, and New Dorp to visit and stay with friends up until his passing.
Patrick was the kindest, gentlest, young-hearted soul one could meet. He never missed a chance to say "I love you," and if you said "I love you" first, he would say "I love you more." He never walked in the door empty-handed. He would always come with cakes, cookies, candies, and chips for all the kids. His biggest joy were family celebrations. The Irish get-togethers with his Irish family, celebrating his Irish heritage were so important to him. His love for animals was so touching, especially for his cat, Tiger. Patrick enjoyed life to the fullest. His greatest joys were traveling, fishing and just being outdoors, mostly with his brothers and nephews.
Patrick is also predeceased by his oldest brother John Patrick Meehan Jr., who passed away in February 2001 and his nephew Robert R. Meehan Jr., who passed away November 2014; we know they have all been reunited and are having fun together once again. His sister Catherine Clark and her children, Catherine and Peter Lugo, Tracy and Craig Green, Robert Clark and Nancy Perry, Charles, Brian, and Patrick Clark will surely miss him walking through the front door. He was definitely a great big brother to all of them. His brother Kevin Meehan Sr. and his children, Kevin Meehan Jr. and Maria Zarr, Dawn and William Jaeger, and Coleen and Arnold Rualo will miss him terribly. His brother Robert R. Meehan Sr., and his children Christina and Vincent Assante Jr., Tabatha and Mike Sajeva, and Sarah Meehan are also mourning this terrible loss. He is also survived his sister Ellen Pawlowski, whom he shared his love of animals with her husband John Pawlowski, as well as their children, Christina and Chris Nalducci, John and Cheryl, Randy and Katrina, and Janiene Pawlowski. They are all so saddened.
Uncle Patrick will be sorely missed by all of his great nieces and nephews, Jasmin, Nikole, Willow and Peter Lugo, Brandon, Jonathan, Brianna, Christopher and Daniel Green, Robert and Raymond Clark, Kayleigh Clark, Michael, Victoria and MacKenzie Meehan, Dylan Meehan and William Jaeger Jr., Jonathan, Jenna and Juliana Rualo, Christopher and Nikolas Molina, Angelina Sajeva, D'Andre McNeill, Olivia, Anthony, and Nikolas Nalducci, John Pawlowski Jr., Ellie and Nolan Pawlowski, and Baby Boy Pawlowski 2021. Rest easy Uncle Paddy! You will be greatly missed and never forgotten. We love you more!
