Patricia Vita, 60, of Rossville, a former nightclub singer who later managed a family business before becoming a homemaker, died Monday in Mount Sinai Hospital, Manhattan.
Born Patricia Katz in Brooklyn, she moved to Staten Island in 1987. She lived in Great Kills and Annadale before settling in Rossville 11 years ago.
Mrs. Vita sang in nightclubs throughout New York state during the 1970s and 1980s. She then worked as an office manager for a family enterprise, Ropat Fabrics, Brooklyn. For the past 11 years, she was a full-time homemaker.
Mrs. Vita attended Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn.
She loved spending time with her family, her daughter, Danielle, said.
She was someone who always put others first, her daughter said.
She is survived by her partner of 30 years, Ronald; a son, Andrew; a daughter, Danielle; her mother, Ceil, and a sister, Rona Harris.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville. Entombment will be in Woodbridge (N.J.) Memorial Gardens.
