Patricia Savino

Patricia Savino, 75, died at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital on May 14, 2016.
Born in Detroit, Mich., she met her husband of 53 years, Joseph, in Brooklyn. They moved to Staten Island 20 years ago.
She was a benefits manager for National Maritime Union and retired in 2003.
Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially during the holidays when she cooked and baked for her 6 grannies, as she would call them.
She was an avid Yankees fan, but also rooted for the Tigers. Pat loved attending her grandson Frankie's travel baseball games and was a staple at the Richmond County Youth Complex with her folding chair.
She also enjoyed Atlantic City, N.J., and attending the racetrack with her husband, Joe, in which they they owned claiming horses affiliated with Drawing Away Stables. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner at Our Lady Help of Christian's Church.
Mom was our rock and touched everyone she met, with her infectious smile and caring ways. She will be sorely missed and in our hearts forever, said her son, Frank.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph, her children, Frank (Jeannie) and Dina Savino Martine ( Michael). She was one of nine children, surviving Robert, Ronald, Larry Oster, Carole Ellsworth and Linda Baker. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
The funeral Mass will be at Our Lady Help of Christian's R.C. Church on Friday at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow at Rosehill Crematory, Linden, N.J. Friends may visit Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home.
