Patricia Braccia

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Patricia A. Braccia, 74, of Huguenot, a homemaker, died Monday in Staten Island University Hospital, Prince's Bay.

Born Patricia A. Julia in Brooklyn, she moved to Graniteville in 1973 and to Huguenot in 2005.

"She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother," said her son, Michael. "She was the heart of our family."

She enjoyed cooking, caring for her family, dancing and trips to Atlantic City. She also enjoyed taking family vacations.

Mrs. Braccia and her husband, John, would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in September.

In addition to her son, Michael, and her husband, John, surviving is another son, John Jr.; a daughter, Janine Braccia; a brother, James Julia; a sister, Ida Simonetti, and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be Friday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church, Huguenot. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
