Olufunmilayo Oluwole, 34, of Concord, a receptionist who enjoyed being with her family, died Friday in Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton, after a long illness.
Ms. Oluwole was born in West Brighton and grew up in Stapleton. She moved to Concord in 2005.
She worked as a receptionist and clerical worker at a medical office in Dongan Hills, since 2009.
She graduated from Curtis High School in 2000, and had attended the College of Staten Island, Willowbrook.
She participated annually in the AIDS and the breast cancer walkathons.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, listening to music, watching television, and visiting zoos and aquariums. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was a member of Rossville A.M.E. Zion Church, Rossville.
She is survived by her parents, Jane Ellen and Olusegun Oluwole; her brothers, Olusoji and Oluseyi Oluwole.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Rossville A.M.E. Zion Church. Burial will be in the Rossville A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery.
