Olimpia Theresa Felline, 62, of Tottenville, a homemaker who most loved being with her family, died Saturday at home.
Born Olimpia Theresa Castelli in Luca, Italy, she immigrated to the United States with her family as an infant, moving to Dongan Hills. She had lived in Tottenville since 1981.
She graduated from Susan Wagner High School in 1971.
Mrs. Felline enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren. An avid reader, she also enjoyed spending time and talking on the phone with family and friends. In addition, she enjoyed dining out with her husband, taking road trips, gardening, crocheting, sewing, and watching television movies and documentaries.
She had a unique talent for fixing things, and was a gifted photographer, family said.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brian in 2014.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gary; her sons, Gary Joseph II and Adam; her daughter, JoAnna Serra; her sisters, Anna Fulcher and Victoria and Laura LaRosa and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher's R.C. Church. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
