Nicholas Bellino, 24, of Woodrow, died Wednesday in Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze.
Born on Staten Island, he was raised in Eltingville before moving to Woodrow in 1995.
He was educated at the Seton Foundation for Learning, and later graduated from Bishop Ahern High School, Graniteville, and was employed at Lifestyles for the Disabled, Willowbrook.
Mr. Bellino competed in the Special Olympics for swimming and attended programs at On Your Mark. His hobbies included swimming, snow-tubing, horseback riding and dancing.
He attended St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Richmond.
He is survived by his parents, Diane and Philip Bellino; a brother, Philip; two sisters, Melissa and Jaclyn Bellino, and his grandparents, Benny Bellino and Louise Yuska.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
