Neil A. Melisi

Neil Melisi was born on June 29, 1970 and passed away on February 9, 2023 at the age of 52. He is survived by his loving wife, Heather, whom he was married to for 18 years. His three adoring children, Gia, Lorenzo and Gianni. His parents, Linda and Larry. His brother, Andrew and his wife, Sharmila, and their two children, Arianna and Matthew. In-laws, Linda and Ed. Many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Neil was born in Brooklyn, NY and had a love of music that started from the playpen as he swayed to Song Sung Blue by Neil Diamond. His passion for music continued and he went to many concerts over the years. His love of music is something he passed on to his children and they spent hours listening to and learning about artists that Neil loved.

Neil went to Xaverian High School until he graduated and enrolled at St. John's University to study psychology. He graduated with a double masters and started work at United Cerebral Palsy as a Psychologist. He loved helping the people in the program and was dedicated to making their lives better in whatever way he could. 

Neil met his wife, Heather, in a Yahoo chat room. When they met in person they knew immediately that they wanted to be together. They married at Saint Finbar Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn, NY. In the years following they had their three children and Neil loved every aspect of being a father, he was incredibly proud of each one. Neil was an amazing father to his children and a devoted husband. Everything he did was to make his wife and children happy. Family was extremely important to him and it showed in every aspect of his life. He always made time for his family and no matter how busy he was, they knew they came first with him. 

Neil was a kind, thoughtful man who will be missed by so many.
