STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Former Staten Islander Nancy DeMartino, 67, of The Villages, Fla., a retired executive secretary, died Tuesday at home.
Born Nancy Hricewhich in Brooklyn, she also lived in Peekskill, N.Y., before returning to Brooklyn. She lived in Bay Terrace and Prince's Bay before moving to Florida.
Mrs. DeMartino worked as an executive secretary for Coltec Industry for 25 years, retiring in 1995.
She earned as associate's degree from Westchester Community College.
She was a former parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church, Huguenot, where she served as an Eucharistic minister.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and designing ceramics. She had a love for reading spending most of her time buried in a book.
She is survived by husband of 45 years, Frank.
The funeral will be Monday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
