STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Nancy Ruth Aaman, 72, of Tottenville, a church secreary, died yesterday in Staten Island University Hospital, Prince's Bay.
The former Nancy Holm was born in Brooklyn and grew up there, and in Valley Stream, L.I. She moved to Tottenville in 1966.
Mrs. Aaman worked for MetLife in Brooklyn and Long Island for 10 years. Afterwards, she became the secretary of her church, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Tottenville, a job she kept for the past 30 years, Mrs. Aaman was active in the Huguenot Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and had been a right worthy district matron.
She liked crocheting and loved spending time with her grandchildren. "She was loved by many and will be missed," said her daughter, Kari Streeter.
Mrs. Aaman and her husband, George, celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in December.
In addition to her husband, George, and daughter, Kari, she is survived by three sons, Kris, Kurt and Kyle; another daughter, Kim O'Brien; a brother, Richard Holm, and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville. Burial will be in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge, N.J.
