Michelle Lawler, 44, of Pleasant Plains, a devoted mother who enjoyed spending time with her son, died Monday in Staten Island University Hospital, Prince's Bay.
Born Michelle Wiseman in Brooklyn, she was brought to Castleton Corners as a child and settled in Pleasant Plains in 2003.
Mrs. Lawler began her career as a nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital, and was currently working for Pfizer.
She graduated from Susan Wagner High School and the St. Vincent's School of Nursing.
She enjoyed traveling, especially going to the Poconos. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her son.
Surviving are her husband of eight years, Walter; a son, Walter III; her parents, Alan and Diane Wiseman, and a brother, Michael Wiseman.
The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
