Mass is Thursday for retired sanitation worker
Michael Lombardo, 52, of Huguenot passed away on Dec. 9, 2018, in Clove Lakes Nursing Home. Born in Brooklyn, he moved to Huguenot where he lived for 45 years.
Michael graduated from Tottenville HS. He was a sanitation worker for DSNY at Brooklyn 1 North, retiring in September 2018. He enjoyed fishing and played for the Sheldon Boys Football.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Lombardo, his brothers, James and Robert Lombardo, his sister, Regina Lombardo Garofalo, his niece, Kaitlyn Lombardo, his nephews, James Byrne, Andrew Lombardo, and Joseph Garofalo. He was predeceased by his father, Anthony "Mike" Lombardo, retired NYPD, and his nephew, Robert Byrne.
Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial is at St. Joseph's R.C. Church (Rossville) at 10 a.m. Cremation will be private. Friends may visit Wednesday, from 5 to 9 p.m.
