MICHAEL A. FORZANO
On August 30th 2018, Michael A. Forzano passed away in his home in Staten Island at the age of 69 after a long battle with Cancer. Michael was a successful trial attorney, and the founder of The Forzano Law Firm. After graduating St. Johns Law School in 1977, he served his community for over 40 years, and helped thousands of accident victims over his career, earning the respect and admiration of all of his peers, including opposing attorneys and judges all throughout Brooklyn and Staten Island.
He was an avid Boater, who spent every summer on his Boat traveling all over the tri state area, whether it be going to the numerous Restaurants and Bars on the water, finding little coves to anchor and swim, or to just take a ride under the Verrazano Bridge, he never felt more at peace and alive then when he was travelling on the Atlantic Ocean with the wind to his back, gazing into the open water.
The name of his Boat “No Boundaries”, was a metaphor of how he lived his life. He always was on the go, never wanted to “rest” or “sleep in”.
There was nothing he did that he didn’t want to do, and when he did something, he gave it 100%.
He loved to spend weeknights watching TV shows and movies with his Children, with his favorite being Smallville. As anyone who knows him
knew: He loved (and often stated he was the true) Superman. His weekends were always filled with adventure and fun with the love of his life, Sally, never taking a weekend off in 21 years of being together.
Despite having the work schedule of a Lawyer, Michael was involved so heavily in his children’s lives. He coached both his children’s baseball / softball teams, took them camping, and would always make sure that his Children, and stepdaughters were happy and loved, because everyone knew that no matter what, Michael was always available and always there for them.
Everyone knew Michael by his trademark smile. He was always happy, laughing and making jokes (especially making fun and teasing those he loved). When he walked into a room, his presence lit it up immediately.
People gravitated to him because of his infectious sense of humor and his ability to make everyone around him happier.
This effect was evident in no greater way then watching him interact with his Granddaughter. He loved being “Papa”, and you could see the glow in his eyes when he would play with her, eat ice cream sandwiches with her, or even talk about her.
Michael was a person who touched many peoples lives, and everyone who knows him and was fortunate to spend time with him his better for it.
Michael is survived by his children, Anthony and Vanessa Forzano, the love of his life and soulmate, Sally Flotteron; his two Stepdaughters Kim and Cynthia Flotteron; his daughter in law Catherine Forzano and the joy of his life for the past 3 years, his Granddaughter Jordana
