Maryann Schierenbeck

Lifelong Annadale resident Maryann Schierenbeck, 56, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, died Wednesday at home.

She was born Maryann Van Alphen, and graduated from St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School.

She devoted herself to raising her children and caring for her family and home. Mrs. Schierenbeck also enjoyed cooking and baking.

Surviving are her husband of more than 30 years, Joseph; her son, Joseph; her daughter, Patricia Schierenbeck; two brothers, John and Peter Van Alphen; a sister, Kathleen Ressler, and a grandson.

The funeral service will be Sunday at 8:15 p.m. in the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville. Arrangements include cremation.

Services: Sunday November 10, 2013 a 8:15 PM Service at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home.

Visitation: Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM

Cemetery: Cremation Will Be Private
