Mary DiMambro

Mary DiMambro, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.  She is survived by her four loving children, Anthony, Michael, Angie, and Joseph, as well as her loving son-in-law, Donald Vandegrift and daughters-in-law, Roseann, Stephanie, and Mary DiMambro.  

Mary was born on April 7, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York.  She was one of ten children of Nicholas and Margarita Dell'Italia.  Mary was raised in Brooklyn and in July, 1954 she married Anthony DiMambro at Our Lady of Loretta Church.  She and Anthony were happily married for fifty-five years until his death in September, 2005.  Mary worked at several different jobs during her  long life including at the New York Stock Exchange, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for ten years until her retirement.  

Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, as well as beloved friend to many.  She is survived by her five grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, A.J., Danielle, and Joseph DiMambro, and by her two great grandchildren, Giancarlo and Anthony DiMambro.  Mary is also survived by her two brothers, Harry and Victor Dell'Italia, and her two sisters, Maggie Demarzo and Vera Mauro.  She also leaves behind many loving and devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to Mary's visitation, and to reminisce and honor her memory at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Road  Staten Island, NY 10307.

Visitation time:  4:00PM-8:00PM on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Mass of Christian Burial: St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church 6097 Amboy Road Staten Island, NY 10309 on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 9:30AM

Interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery  80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Queens, NY
