Mary Cullen

March 6, 1920 — April 24, 2017

Born Mary Morosko in Connecticut, she was brought to New Jersey as a child. She lived there until 1947, when she married Robert W. Cullen, Jr.
Mary worked for General Cable Works in Perth Amboy, New Jersey for five years. She was a machinist and instructor, teaching others how to operate machines used to make cables for defense during WW II.
Mary was an avid gardener. She received many Certificates of Appreciation from the Lynne Robbins Steinman Foundation in recognition of her contributions to a beautiful Staten Island. She was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees.
Remembered by relatives as a generous person, she often gave flowers to her neighbors and friends.
Mary was a parishioner of Our Lady Help of Christian's RC Church, Tottenville.
Her husband of 33 years, Robert W. Cullen,Jr. died in 1980.
She is survived by a son, William and daughter, Linda Drennan, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
