Mary A. Coughlin, 95, died April 1, 2017.
Born in Clinton, Ind., she moved to Richmond Valley, Staten Island, in 1955.
Mary was a secretary at Mt. Loretto MIV for 10-plus years before retiring in 1984.
She enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing mahjong, baking, and writing poetry. She was an avid doll collector.
Mary was a member of the ladies auxiliary of Beauvais-Hudson American Legion Post, the Mater Christi Guild of Our Lady Help of Christians, and was also on the Rosary and Altar Society.
Mary's husband, John, died in 1999. She is survived by her sons, Michael, John, Tim, and Brian; her daughters, Maureen Coughlin and Karen Kelly; her sister, Aida Toffolo; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
