Marion R. Sarcone, 66, of Tottenville, a former representative with the Department of Motor Vehicles, died Friday at home.
Born Marion Aguiar in Newark, she lived in Brooklyn as a teenager, eventually settling in Tottenville in 1982.
Mrs. Sarcone had a 20-year career with the Department of Motor Vehicles, retiring in 2005. She was also a CCD teacher at Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, Tottenville.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City and watching soap operas. She especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Sarcone is survived by her husband of 43 years, Anthony (Butch); a son, Vincent; two daughters, Marie Gilsenan and Diane Recca; a sister, Dolores Paronich, and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
