Marie Cancelleri

Marie Cancelleri (nee Shaiola), 83, of Huguenot died on Nov. 22, 2016, after a brief illness.
Marie was born in the Bronx, then moved to Brooklyn, then to Huguenot in 1969. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in the Bronx.
Marie was a legal secretary for 30 years for Davis, Polk & Wardwell and the Law Firm of Robert Muir. She then worked for Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church for 20 years as a receptionist. She was a parishioner at Our Lady Star of the Sea since 1969.
Marie was a devout Catholic who devoted her life to her family and church
She was a singer in the church choir, a Eucharistic minister, and a trustee at Our Lady Star of the Sea.
She also did a lot of fundraising and worked on the Cardinal's Appeal for Our Lady Star of the Sea. Marie was like a grandmother to all the students in the school.
She is survived by her children, Debra Emigholz (Karl Sr.), Leonard Cancelleri (Lourdes), and Anthony Cancelleri (Cristina); her sister, Linda Ranallo, and her grandchildren, Karl Emigholz Jr., Jennifer Emigholz, Gianna Cancelleri and Anthony Cancelleri.
Funeral From Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
