Maria Mondello

Maria (Emily) Mondello, 85 (nee: Iannone), passed away on September 6, 2018 at Staten Island University Hospital.  She was a lifelong Staten Islander and lived in Tottenville.

Maria was a graduate of Curtis High School, then worked for Kresge.  She was a homemaker and mother of three sons.

Maria was a parishioner of St. Roch’s RC Church for many years. She was involved in many church organizations including St. Ann’s Society and the Catholic Daughters.  She was either president or held high positions in these church organizations.

She enjoyed game shows, board games, and old movies but what gave her the most joy was her time with her family where she shared her infectious laugh.

Maria was pre-deceased by her beloved  husband, Jack J. ,who passed away in 1982.

She is survived by her loving sons, Emanuel (Rosemarie), James (Mari) and Jack,Jr. (Sandy), and seven cherished grandchildren.

Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Tuesday at 9:30AM. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Help of Christian’s RC Church at 10:00AM. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Friends may visit on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9PM
