Maria Vincenza Iandoli, 72, passed away at home on May 19, 2024.
Maria was born in Ferrandina (Matera), Italy. She moved to the United States living in Brooklyn, New York from 1972 to 1997, then in Staten Island, New York for twenty seven years. She graduated from Washington Irving High School, then received her Bachelor's degree from Brooklyn College and her Master's degree in Mathematics and Italian from City College. She worked for the New York City Board of Education as a Junior High School Language Teacher from 1978 to 2013.
Maria enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and making special projects for the education of her students to whom she was very dedicated. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle, St. Joseph's and St. John Neuman RC Church.
Maria is pre-deceased by her parents, Francesco and Lucrezia Iandoli. She is survived by her brother, Vittorio (Silvana) Iandoli; sister, Maria Teresa Iandoli, with whom she spent her entire life; niece, Lucrezia (Claudio); nephew, Mario (Valerie); and great niece and great nephews, Liam, Nathan, Samantha, Gabriel, whom she loved and adored very, very much.
