Maria Greco

Maria Greco, 75, of Rossville, a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and vacations in Florida, died Wednesday in Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze.

The lifelong Staten Islander was born Maria Sabella in West Brighton and grew up in South Beach.

She graduated from St. John Villa Academy.

Mrs. Greco also lived in New Dorp before settling in Rossville, where she had lived for 30 years.

She most loved spending time with her family, and also enjoyed gardening, swimming and vacationing in Florida.

Mrs. Greco was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Pleasant Plains.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Thomas Sr.; her sons, Alfred, Guy and Thomas Jr., and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be Friday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
