Margaret A. Sabino, 84, a native Staten Islander who lived in Huguenot, died on April 4, 2017, comfortably at home.
Margaret was a teller for Federal Reserve Bank in New York City. She was a cook for St. Joseph-By-The-Sea H.S. and also cooked for the Christian Brothers at Msgr. Farrell H.S. She enjoyed painting, gardening, trips to Atlantic City, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Walter, died in 1987. She is survived by her loving companion, Thomas Kent; her children, Walter Sabino (Debra), Dorene DiStefano (Paul); her grandchildren, Jason Sabino (Melissa), Paige DiStefano, Paul DiStefano, Nicholas DiStefano; great-grandchildren, Greyson and Colton Sabino, and her brother, Andrew Pisano, and sisters, Mildred Pickering and Lucille Lee.
Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home is on Friday at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church at 10:15 a.m. Interment to follow at Moravian Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
